Application Instructions
The application form is your first step toward beginning a program in the Wisconsin Technical College System. Once you've submitted the completed form and appropriate fee, the college of your choice will send you admission requirements and instructions.
General Instructions
Complete all sections of the form in full. If you wish to apply for admission to more than one college, you must pay an application fee to each college. Apply early! Consult the college of your choice for specific program information, including whether the program has openings, the location of the program and the start date.
Application Fee
You can pay the application fee of $30 online with MasterCard or VISA. If you choose, you can print out the completed online application form and mail it to the college of your choice with a check or money order made out to the college. Do not send cash. A $30 application fee is due to each college you are applying to. Students may be subject to additional fees pertaining to enrollment in some programs.
Transcripts
The college you have selected will request official copies of your academic transcripts, from high school, GED, HSED and college or university. You will be responsible for contacting your former education institution(s) to have your official transcripts mailed directly to the admissions office of the college you have selected. If you are currently enrolled in high school, send a transcript of the courses you have completed, along with a list of the courses you will complete prior to graduation.
Testing/Assessment
Many Wisconsin Technical Colleges require testing for acceptance into specific programs. Test results generally assist the college in placing you in courses and/or programs to help you succeed academically. Contact your college for details regarding testing requirements. If you have taken the ACT or SAT, please send your score report to the college.
Social Security Number
The Wisconsin Technical College System requires your Social Security Number for record keeping and statistical purposes related to auditing, enforcing, and evaluating federally supported education programs (Federal Law 20 U.S.C.s. 1232g (1998)) only. You are also required to provide your Social Security Number if you are, or will be, applying for financial aid.
