Frank Opatik

As a young man, Frank left the family farm near Ashland to enroll at Northcentral Technical College (NTC). He took a job at Wausau Homes to help pay for his education.

"My job at Wausau Homes was a perfect fit for my classes at NTC, and I went to work full-time after graduation," he explains.

As an engineering technician, Frank earned his license from the State of Wisconsin as a registered professional engineer. He also holds licenses in five other states. With his knowledge, drive and skill, Frank advanced into engineering and architectural positions with Wausau Homes, and eventually became company vice president. He now gives back to the college and the industry through his work on college advisory boards.
