Metal Fabrication / Welding is part of the high-tech world of manufacturing. Before students begin their careers in metal fabrication, they learn all about quality parts using many different techniques and materials; program and operate computer-controlled press brakes and shears; plasma arc cutting machines, and microprocessor-based power sources; interpret blueprints and draw the exact shape of the part on the metal for cutting, fabrication and welding; and perform various welding techniques and other joining methods.
